Alien Species Series books 1-3
I had the privilege of reading the Alien Species series anthology which are books 1-3 in the series. All I can say is incredible. JK Accinni has a very different view on the end of the world. I cried my way through Baby, and fell in love with this amazing little alien who cares for the Earth, and also for his human family. She writes from the heart in this amazing tale of love, loss, and coming back from the edge of darkness. Book two is Echo, again another amazing read! I'd already fallen in love with Baby and then when Echo is introduced how can you not love her. Her bond with Barney is particularly touching. All of her characters are extremely well thought out and written so that you are living in their shoes. I've read the entire series and it's just beautiful and amazing how the animals and humans work together, and how the bonds form between them. You are in for an amazing ride in this set of books and it will leave you wanting for more! Guess what? There ARE more! They are all artfully written and the story came into my imagination in living color. I would recommend these books to anyone, JK Accinni is a master storyteller. You should definitely try these out!

The White Door By Christy Sloat
I absolutely loved The White Door by Christy Sloat. Having read the entirety of this series it brings it to a whole new world for all of the characters. Christy is an amazing storyteller who pulls you into the dark world of her characters. I am a huge Brylee Branson fan. She's such a strong female character with a whole lot of fight in her. The story brings the Brown House series to a close with a bang and an unexpected end to one of the stories of one of my favorite characters. I believe in the world beyond and The White Door doesn't dissappoint. It's got romance, intrigue, ghosts of course, and a curse that needs to be ended once and for all. This is a great book and I recommend this series to everyone! Christy is a wordsmith of the highest regard and I'm looking forward to more of her incredibly entertaining stories!

Serial Killers Case Files by RJ Parker
I just finished reading RJ Parker’s Serial Killers Case Files. It is a chilling trip down the rabbit hole into the depths of human depravity. Lizzie Borden joins BTK and the Beltway Snider in the pages of this informative book. The quips from the author on his thoughts about the different killers made me smile. I was completely impressed in how knowledgeable RJ is about these killers. He tells you everything without giving you information overload. I found it interesting how many serial killers were out there, and it gave me a new appreciation for being safe while I am away from my home. RJ Parker offers websites that you can go to for more information as well as to sign petitions to keep these criminals in jail. I particularly liked the clips from the different notes that some of the serial killers wrote. I was particularly fascinated with the chapter on Son of Sam, and the letters he sent to the different newspapers. I knew a little about this particular killer, but I learned many new things about him as well. This is a wonderful book and I would recommend it to those who are not faint of heart. The final words that the serial killers spoke at their executions was very chilling, they were very different and showed you where their heads were in their last moments of life. This book is brutally honest, completely factual, chilling, and amazing. I am looking forward to reading more of RJ’s books.
