What a great finish to a great tale! Rory is now one of my favorite princesses, she is not only vulnerable and innocent, but she also kicks butt on the battlefield! I fell in love with her in Slumber, and fell in love with her all over again in Awaken. Christy's tale is a roller coaster of emotion that will keep you turning the pages. This fractured fairy tale is truly a work of art.

The Haunting of Gillespie House by Darcy Coates

The Haunting of Gillespie House
By Darcy Coates

Synopsis:

Elle can't believe her luck; she's spending a month house-sitting the beautiful Gillespie property. Hidden near the edge of the woods and an hour's drive from the nearest town, its dark rooms and rich furniture entice her to explore its secrets. There's even a graveyard hidden behind the house, filled with tombstones that bear an identical year of death.

If only the scratching in the walls would be quiet…

The house’s dark and deadly history quickly becomes tangled with Elle’s life. At the centre of it is Jonathan Gillespie, the tyrannical cult leader and original owner of the house. As Elle soon learns - just because he’s dead, doesn’t mean he’s gone.

My Review:

I couldn't put this book down! What a great story! You can easily lose yourself in this book. Darcy is a very talented wordsmith that tells a twisted tale of a cult leader who ruled his family with an iron fist. Elle is an easy character to fall in love with and I felt myself catching my breath as she made her way through the mystery as it unraveled. This book has me hooked on Darcy Coates and her writing! It is such an awesome and exciting story with so many twists and turns. I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

Stronger By Becki Brannen

I absolutely loved this book, in Stronger by Becki Brannen you get a narrative of what it's like to be in the shoes of a domestic violence.....no this goes far beyond domestic violence Johnny is a stalker and an overall evil man. The main character suffers at Johnny's hands and makes the decision to get out of the relationship before she ends up dead and that's where the story begins when Hayley Cross walks into a kickboxing gym and meets Wes a personal trainer who she asks to make her Stronger. This story should be read by all domestic violence survivors, or those in domestic violence situations. It should be read by everyone, it is an incredible story of strength and the power to overcome immeasurable odds and to find that light that makes you Stronger. It is a well written and lovely story that draws you in and doesn't let you go till the last page. Highly recommended.

This is not your average coming of age story. It's not your average love story. It's a beautiful trip through life. With an addicting storyline that wraps you in its spell Forever and Always Destiny is a beautiful tale of love, loss, and finding love again. The characters are very approachable and I identified with their feelings. Cindy Springsteen is a very gifted author and I really enjoyed this story. I laughed, I cried, and I laughed again. I can't wait for book two to come out. Highly Recommended.

When you're fighting against the government, Black Dragon, and hordes of Draggers on a daily basis while living in a military state, how do you have a mundane life. That's what Holly, Dave, and Griffin are doing in the book Dead is All You Get by Steven Ramirez. I really loved this book it is a really not to out there account of what life might be like during a zombie apocalypse. It's gritty, raw, scary, with moments that touch your heart. I love how Dave, Holly, and their adopted daughter Griffin (who is one of my favorite characters) stay together no matter what odds are stacked against them. This was a fabulous read. Highly recommended.

Ghost Camera By Darcy Coates

This is a great little novella! It's right up my alley as I'm very interested in the paranormal. It pulls you right in and doesn't let you go right till the end. I loved the two main characters Jenine and Bree and have a soft spot for Bree. I'd love to see more from this author with these wonderful characters. All in all a great book!

Waffles and Pancakes A lesson in the true meaning of Christmas

We are super Cindy Springsteen fans, each of her books tells a wonderful story with a great moral. This story particularly touched my heart with recent events in the world. It's so awesome to see a story about people helping people shared in such a unique and interesting way. I think this book should be in schools because it really teaches about the meaning and the reason for the season, as well as giving with an open and happy heart. The illustrations are so cool and Waffles and Pancakes look so cute in their hats! This is now one of my favorite Christmas Stories! I also read this to my daughter and she loved it too!
